Story
In 2016, during his college years, Arjun fell in love with Diya. Their relationship was soon disrupted when Diya received a job offer in Portugal and prepared to move there. When Arjun asked her to take him along, Diya suggested he focus on his career and requested some space in their relationship. Arjun informed both of their families about their relationship, hoping to arrange their marriage before Diya left. However, Diya rejected the idea of a quick marriage, leading to a heated argument. The situation escalated further due to a misunderstanding about a delayed visa application, culminating in a public breakup.
Seven years later, Arjun, now running a software startup with his friend Subramaniaraju, is stunned to learn that Diya has been arrested in Portugal for the murder of Karthik Adhinarayanan, the son of a powerful businessman, Adhinarayanan. Despite their past, Arjun rushes to Portugal to help her. There, he meets Diya's mother, Geeta, and consults her lawyer, Indirani "Indira" Jahan, to understand the case. Arjun attempts to meet with Adhinarayanan to plead for Diya, but is dismissed by the businessman’s associate, Varadharajan. Diya, overwhelmed by guilt for avoiding Arjun in the past, refuses to meet him.
In prison, Diya is attacked by an inmate, Jenni, and ends up hospitalized. Determined to uncover the truth, Arjun seeks out Monty, Jenni’s lover, to gather information. Though Arjun had once saved Monty’s sister from drug dealers, Monty is reluctant to help, suggesting that Vasundhra, Karthik's mother, might be behind the attack on Diya. Arjun confronts Adhinarayanan, warning him about further involvement, and vows to seek justice for Diya through legal means. Diya, in a prison visit with Indira, recounts the events that led to Karthik’s death. Diya had befriended Karthik after joining Adhinarayanan’s company in Portugal, and they were both close to his partner, Avik, who kept their relationship secret from Karthik's father. When Avik distanced himself, Karthik fell into drugs, and Diya became his only support. Varadharajan misunderstood their bond and warned her to stay away. Diya returned to India, unaware that Adhinarayanan had arranged Karthik's marriage to Rakhi. Upon returning to Portugal, Karthik confessed his suicidal thoughts to Diya, prompting her to rush to his aid, only to be beaten by an unknown attacker. When she regained consciousness, she was arrested for Karthik’s murder, with Rakhi as the key witness. Diya confides in Indira, revealing she had hidden the truth to protect Karthik's secret.

With Monty's help, Arjun finds Avik, who admits that Varadharajan forced him into hiding. Arjun realizes that Varadharajan orchestrated the events to secure his son Akash's control over Adhinarayanan’s wealth and suspects Varadharajan’s role in Karthik’s murder. After Varadharajan’s men shoot Avik, Arjun narrowly escapes. Diya learns of Arjun’s efforts to prove her innocence and apologizes for her past behavior. Their emotional reunion encourages Indira to reconcile with her estranged husband. Arjun attempts to confront Adhinarayanan and expose Varadharajan, but is captured and beaten. When Karthik discovered the truth, Adhinarayanan and Varadharajan plotted to kill him and frame Diya for the crime. Vasundhra, who had learned of Adhinarayanan’s wrongdoing through Akash, exposes him to the police. Humiliated, Adhinarayanan takes his own life. Gautham apprehends Martin, and Rakhi is arrested, clearing Diya of all charges.
